02 Oct EV-ESM General Assembly Meeting
Dear parents and guardians,
I hereby cordially invite you to this year’s General Assembly Meeting of the Parents’ Association of the European School Munich (EV-ESM).
Wednesday, 21 October 2026, at 6.30 pm
European School Munich – Neuperlach, Europaraum
The General Assembly Meeting is the most important body of our association. At this meeting, the Board members and the treasurer report on the past financial year, important decisions for the coming year are taken, and vacant positions within the association are filled. In accordance with our bylaws, the General Assembly Meeting is responsible, in particular, for electing board members, auditor and other positions.
This year, several positions are up for election. Nominations have already been received for some roles, but further applications are expressly welcome. We are particularly keen to hear from committed parents who are willing to play an active part in the work of the Parents’ Association. The positions currently vacant include, amongst others, an additional board member responsible for liaising with InterParents and attending meetings of the supreme council, as well as the roles of auditor and mediator.
In addition, several representative positions are to be filled in the respective language sections or parent groups in accordance with Article 7(2) of the Articles of Association, in particular for:
- Nursery
- Category III
- French Language Section
- Spanish Language Sectionery
- SWALS Group
These representatives are not elected at the General Assembly Meeting, but at separate meetings of the respective language section or group. At these meetings – as required – both the respective board representatives and the parent representatives on the Education Council are elected. The results of these elections are then announced at the General Assembly Meeting. In accordance with our bylaws and the electoral regulations, these elections are conducted directly by the members of the respective language section or group.
Parents who are interested in standing as candidates for one of these roles are asked to come forward as soon as possible. The relevant language sections and groups may, if necessary, contact the Parents’ Association office (office@ev-esm.org) so that an invitation can be sent to the parents of the respective group.
We also ask that the results of any elections in the parents’ groups for board members or Education Council representatives that have already taken place be sent to

before the General Assembly Meeting, so that they can be duly announced at the meeting.
