  05/21 Our After School Care services for the upcoming new school year 2021/2022 are now bookable in the EV-ESM Booking System. Our longterm and reliable service partners R.U.F.- rund um die Familie and Die Pauker will continue to take care after your children outside school hours in the coming school year. The offer of R.U.F. is aimed at kindergarten children and primary school pupils from P1 - P5. The children are cared for according to a situation and needs-oriented approach with various activities to promote creativity, movement and free play. R.U.F. also offers homework oversight support for elementary school pupils. The offer of Die Pauker is aimed at primary school pupils from P1 - P5. The children are professionally supervised with their homework, practice and revision units of the current school material as well as concentration exercises are offered. 02/2021     As the school is starting again on Monday, 22nd February 2021, we would like to update you on the status of our services in ESM Kindergarten and Primary School. Rules applied will be the same as for last December.   Transport: Will be running as usual.   After School Care: R.U.F and Die Pauker services will be running as usual.   Canteen: Children will be sitting 1,50 m apart from one another. As a consequence all children will not be able to eat warm everyday. 01/2021   As already communicated by the school, all the lessons at the ESM will run on distance teaching until Friday 29.01.2021. This means the following for our services, at least until 29.01.2021:   Transport No school bus transport, no shuttle bus transport.   Canteen No service. 12/2020   Due to the latest information from the school, our services will change accordingly as follows: starting from Wednesday December, 16  the school bus and shuttle bus transport, garderie as well as canteen services will be stopped until further notice.   Extra-curricular activities: starting from Wednesday, December 16 all remaining in-situ courses will be stopped. The courses marked with online option when booking will now continue online on December 16-18, 21-22 and January 7-8, 2021. The access data for the online courses will be sent directly by the course teacher.   Based on the pandemic development, the situation after January 10 will be reassessed at the beginning of the new year.    ...

  11/2020   Today we were notified by the ESM management that the extra-curricular activities (including music courses) in the school premises can continue this week as planned. The canteen, transport and garderie services will also continue as usual this week. The situation will be reassessed on November 5th. 09/2020   ASSOCIATION   Finally, also our newsletter for the new school year! We apologize for not being able to send it earlier. The school management decided which education model should finally be implemented only a few days before school start. Also, the Bavarian authorities did not really help us in this situation. This caused the necessity to rapidly modify/adapt all our services. Notwithstanding some problems, we are now on the good run and managed to start all of them. You have already received information directly from our service partners. Below  are some further details.   New marking system We inform you here about an initiative of parents of the ES Brussels who plan to file a complaint in Germany (Normenkontrollantrag) till November 2020 against the new marking system in the ES.   05/2020 Information about the Partial Opening of ESM   Transport As the concerned parents have already been informed separately, the school buses for primary school classes P1 and P5 are being organized. The school buses will also be available for the planned opening of the school for P2, P3 and P4. You will receive information about this in a timely manner. Unfortunately, kindergarten children are not allowed in the school buses at the moment because we cannot guarantee the requirement of travelling with their siblings. All shuttle buses between ESM and EPO remain canceled as no garderie services are allowed at the moment.   Garderie Due to the precaution not to mix the pupils, the after school care is cancelled until further notice. Regarding the final bill, RUF has now decided not to charge the parents for June. This is a compensation for the services not provided by RUF as from mid-March to June. 03/2020  The corona pandemic continues to expand and in Bavaria school classes cannot take place until April 19th, 2020. As you read in the message from ESM Director Anton Hrovath on March 13th, 2020, the European School Munich stays closed until then. Extra-curricular Activities The school closure also applies to our entire offer of extra-curricular activities. It is not yet clear if the courses continue as of April 20th, 2020. We will let you know as soon as new information is available. For the moment, it means the following for the extra-curricular courses (except music courses): Regrettably, we have to cancel the courses until April 19th, 2020. We will try to organize additional dates for the canceled course units, either after the end of the currently planned course end or by extending the individual course hours.
