09/2020   ASSOCIATION   Finally, also our newsletter for the new school year! We apologize for not being able to send it earlier. The school management decided which education model should finally be implemented only a few days before school start. Also, the Bavarian authorities did not really help us in this situation. This caused the necessity to rapidly modify/adapt all our services. Notwithstanding some problems, we are now on the good run and managed to start all of them. You have already received information directly from our service partners. 09/2020 In the first week of school the school buses will operate as follows: morning after school classes  Wednesday 2.9.2020 regular service only P2-P5 departure at 12:20 pm Thursday 3.9.2020 regular service departure at 12:20 pm Freitag 4.9.2020 regular service departure at 12:20 pm   From Monday, 7. September 2020, normal weekly schedule will be in place with morning departure as indicated on your busline document, after school the services vary slightly for different school years: from 7.9.2020 departure at Monday 12:20 pm P1-P2 4:00 pm P3-P5 Tuesday 4:00 pm Wednesday 12:20 pm Thursday 4:00 pm Friday 12:20 pm   Please also note that the school buses provided by the City of Munich depart directly after school lessons. If your child visits garderie or extra-curricular activities, you can also book shuttle bus ESM-EPO for those days. 08/2020   Due to the Corona restrictions, the MVV cards will be distributed  by class teachers in the secondary school and in the primary school you can collect them at the school secretary with Ms. Lorenz. The MVV cards from the last school year are is still valid in the first week of 2020/21. Please note that the City of Munich has issued a 365-day ticket, which covers the entire MVV area. If an MVV ticket is not available in time, please contact the office of the Parents' Association and not the class teacher. Families who submitted a belated MVV application after May 31, 2020 can assume that it is still being processed. You will be informed as soon as the card arrives at the office of the Parents' Association. Until then, please buy an MVV ticket with your child's name on it. You can then apply for a refund from the City of Munich....

07/2020 Due to rising prices and the latest development of the COVID-19, we were recently confronted with new, significantly higher price offers for the shuttle bus service from the bus companies for the coming school year 2020/2021. The price for the shuttle bus service - from the ESM Fasangarten to Pschorrhöfe, Isar or ESM Neuperlach, must be thus adjusted accordingly. 07/2020 We sincerely hope that the canteen will be back in normal operation from September and that the children will be able to get a warm meal. If that is not possible, alternative offers will be proposed.   Together with Il Cielo and the school, we are working on security measures in the canteen area which we plan to implement from September onwards to ensure a smooth and secure operation.   The obligatory registration for canteen services for the school year 2020/2021 is now open in the online system.   Please log in at www.my-esm.org and mark your child under the button SIGN UP for the school year 2020/21 for Il Cielo. 05/2020 In our program of extra-curricular activities for the school year 2020/21 you will find some novelties, the planning of which we started even before the beginning of the Corona crisis. We are convinced that our efforts will meet the needs of families. You can see the overview of our program offer divided for kindergarten, primary school and high school levels in the Extra-curricular Activities section. The booking of the extra-curricular school activities for 2020/21 starts from June 3rd, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. directly via the NSA Booking Tool.   05/2020 Information about the Partial Opening of ESM   Transport As the concerned parents have already been informed separately, the school buses for primary school classes P1 and P5 are being organized. The school buses will also be available for the planned opening of the school for P2, P3 and P4. You will receive information about this in a timely manner. Unfortunately, kindergarten children are not allowed in the school buses at the moment because we cannot guarantee the requirement of travelling with their siblings. All shuttle buses between ESM and EPO remain canceled as no garderie services are allowed at the moment.   Garderie Due to the precaution not to mix the pupils, the after school care is cancelled until further notice. Regarding the final bill, RUF has now decided not to charge the parents for June. This is a compensation for the services not provided by RUF as from mid-March to June. 04/2020 Starting from April 1st to May 30th , 2020 you can register your children online for our transport services (MVV card, school bus, shuttle bus ESM-EPO) for the school year 2020/2021. You can access our online system under LOGIN on our website https://www.ev-esm.org. A new online application must be made for each child who wants to use our transport services for the coming school year 2020/21. This also applies to students who have already been using the transport service in the current school year 2019/2020. The online applications for school bus or MVV card must be received by the EV-ESM by May 30th, 2020. Please send these application exclusively to this email address: transport.vorstand@ev-esm.org. 03/2020  The corona pandemic continues to expand and in Bavaria school classes cannot take place until April 19th, 2020. As you read in the message from ESM Director Anton Hrovath on March 13th, 2020, the European School Munich stays closed until then. Extra-curricular Activities The school closure also applies to our entire offer of extra-curricular activities. It is not yet clear if the courses continue as of April 20th, 2020. We will let you know as soon as new information is available. For the moment, it means the following for the extra-curricular courses (except music courses): Regrettably, we have to cancel the courses until April 19th, 2020. We will try to organize additional dates for the canceled course units, either after the end of the currently planned course end or by extending the individual course hours. 03/2020   Starting on Monday, March 9th 2020 9:00 am, the registration for Garderie Services and Homework Academy Courses for the next school year will be available in our systems. For the school year 2020/21 the garderie services for kindergarten children can now also be booked on a daily basis.   We are happy to offer you various possibilities of after-school care organized by the EV-ESM. Based on the needs and preferences of your child you can now select: - a Garderie service for kindergarten and primary school children provided by one of our long-term external partners: R.U.F. or Die Pauker, - or a Homework Academy Course in German, French, Italian, Spanish or Greek language to help your child with school preparation.   You will find more details about each offer and its registration at our website.
